About 1st Brackla Rainbows
1st Brackla Rainbows Unit has been meeting since September 2008 and in that time has gone from strength to strength! We are based in Brackla, a part of Bridgend - a town in South Wales. At
the moment, we have around 10 Rainbows, who are great little bundles of
fun and energy. Our 3 Leaders, Barny and Crazy and Screechy (who is completing her training at the moment), volunteer their time
free of charge.
1st Brackla Rainbows meet once a week, on a Tuesday at 5.00 p.m. during term-time.
We charge £2.50 per session
(so for example £25.00 for a 10 week term), which is paid at the beginning of each
term. This covers activities, crafts and administration and welcome pack when the Rainbows make their Promise. This will also cover the census payment (which was previously charged separately every February (£27.00 for 2011)) and covers insurance, development of materials by Girlguiding UK and support and training for Leaders.
Rainbows are the youngest members
of the Girlguiding family and girls can join when they turn 5 years
old. They stay with us until they turn 7, when they can then go on to
join Brownies.
