Our Sponsored Run - 8th November 2011

I would like to say an absolutely huge WELL DONE to all the Rainbows who took part in the sponsored run last night: Carys, Catherine, Lauren, Lilly, Maddy, Madeleine, Miranda, Nia, Olivia. They all ran their little socks off - running a total of 1438 lengths of the school hall ... which I reckon is over 10 miles in total!

We were raising money for the DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal - more than 13 million people in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and the newly-formed Republic of South Sudan have been left in need of food, water and emergency healthcare because of one of the worst droughts in 60 years. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled Somalia due to the drought and conflict, parts of the country are now afflicted by famine.

Thank you to all who donated so generously - we raised £105!

Barny, Crazy and Screechy were bursting with pride and all parents should be too. The Rainbows just kept running and running!
